Iddrisu Sulemana
Brother Idris, aka Afa Iddi, resides in Metro-Atlanta, GA, USA, where he provides religious, family and community services in the Ghanaian and wider Muslim-Community since early 1990s. As Imam, he leads services at various Masajid (Mosques) including weekly Jumu’ah (Friday prayers), weddings, naming-ceremonies, and funerals.
Previously, he served as secretary of Ghana Council (umbrella organization of Ghanaian Associations) and Association of Northern Ghanaians, GA. His work with other nonprofit entities includes organizing a cultural trip to Ghana for Sinfo-Nia Youth Orchestra in early 2000 which culminated with a reception for the Group at Ghana’s State House, hosted by the late Vice President of Ghana Alhaji Aliu Mahama (may he rest in perfect Peace).
